Yew Initiation

A plant initiation or dieta is a period of time dedicated to honouring and being with one particular plant to be initiated into its world, where a bond of communication is formed between the initiate and the plant spirit. This bond is unique to each person and forms the basis upon which healing, wisdom and insights can be received. It is also a process where we are taken out of our comfort zone in order to understand ourselves better and transcend the conditionings of the heart and mind. External and internal reality become one as we expand into deeper relationship with our self and with nature.

Working through the portal of the autumn equinox within the transformational womb space of the Yew, we will be moving towards rebalancing and harmonising inner world energies for our journey into the dreaming months of winter.

As the master portal of the tree kingdom, the spirit of the Yew will guide us as we explore various types of portals: how to open, close and manage them. We will look at the forms of transitional boundaries between realms: how to create and travel through them. You will also be learning about detrimental portals and how to deal with them in your environment.

The Yew calls its warriors to it and therefore a relationship with this most ancient of trees is like no other. Patience, perseverance and an open and honest heart are required for stepping into its sphere. You will learn techniques for communication as we journey with a lone Yew on the Quantock Hill and you will receive guidance for long term co-creation with the expansive consciousness of the tree of eternity.

The Yew is highly poisonous so we will be consuming the essence of the tree, made through the night on the eve of the summer solstice, and tinctures of the flesh of the aril, infused with the energies of rebirth.

This weekend is an initiation into the shamanic and esoteric life of the Yew, cultivate and nurture your relationship and your partnership can last lifetimes.

Notes 

- All participants are required to stay on-site for this initiation.

- Accommodation and meal payments will be due 2 weeks prior to the course start date.

 - Meals are provided by conscious plant-based chef, Sarmado Sibley who will create each meal as supportive nourishment for the inner and psychic work of the course.
